    The signing of the Treaty of Versailles was the official end of World War One between Germany and the Allied Powers save Russia because Russia had previously signed a separate treaty with Germany. It took six months of negotiations at the Paris Peace Conference to actually sign the treaty. The armistice was signed on November 11, 1918 and the Treaty of Versailles was signed on June 28, 1919 in Versailles, France. The treaty took so long to sign because many of the major allied powers had different opinions and goals they wanted to meet. Germany had very little say in the way that the delegations went. This would help explain the bias in the treaty and the harsh conditions that the Allied Powers placed on Germany. The end result of the treaty however was the compromisation of the Allied Powers in order to put an official end to the war.
    The Treaty of Versailles was unfair because it would have caused irreparable damage to the German economy and government had the Germans abided by the sanctions on them....
