How MGT330 has allowed me to grow as a Manager
It is hard to formulate totally what I have learned from this class. I continue to find ways to apply the information I have learned and understand my goals better. I am sure this knowledge will carry me well into the future and be a fundamental source of achieving my goal of being one of the best. Before I took this class I considered myself well versed on the methods and techniques used by successful managers. After the first week I realized what a big mistake that was. I have become not only more update on the management process in the modern era but I have also begun to better understand the environment of management itself. I have learned using the communication techniques essential to being an effective organization manager while also better understanding the tools necessary to achieve those goals with the planning methods and decision making that directs that environment. As with any goal, it takes understanding of the goal itself and a measurement or benchmark to let us know we have reached that goal. Our text Essentials of Contemporary Management outlined an excellent method of understanding achievement of goals. Organizational performance is always used as a benchmark to measure how well and effect the organization is at reaching set goals (Jones, p.5).
