Sleep is essential to the human body. If you do not get enough sleep regularly it can be dangerous. Your body needs sleep so that it can function well during the day. According to studies teens need at least 8 ½ hours of sleep every night. Some teens may even need up to 9 ¼ hours of sleep to remain healthy. Sleeping patterns are a very important factor to getting a good night sleep. If your body has a sleeping schedule or pattern, it will be easier to fall asleep and wake up when you need to. Following a sleeping pattern also allows you to get a better quality sleep. Without a good night sleep you will have limited abilities to concentrate and learn. Lack of sleep can also cause skin problems to occur. When you are tired, you are more likely to eat unhealthy and it is easier to become ill. According to research data, people with lack of sleep become unhappy, tense, stressed, nervous, and depressed easily. To get better sleep develop a sleeping pattern and plan naps during your day if necessary. Before going to bed at night, do not do any physical activities.
