I like the way the author opens up with somebody dying from anthrax attacks in the middle of September 11. He transitions into a tale about Peter Los and what happened in Meschede, Germany with the smallpox eruption. I like the way he introduces his killers and then it goes well with his story about eradicating smallpox from this world we live in. This book made me realize that smallpox and anthrax are among us and they could happen if we don’t take the right precautions.
    The fact that these are real-life experiences that have happened in the world are mind blowing. I really enjoyed the style in which this author chose to write in. The book however was sometimes out of place. The author was trying to incorporate many short stories into one book. I like a book that has one story. Each section of the book is interesting but the entirety of the book does come together.
    I thought this book was good. It informed me about smallpox breakouts and anthrax which I thought were not a threat. It clearly is and still hanging around there today. I thought we didn’t have this problem and smallpox disease was conquered. This book is a suspenseful story but the evil creatures are alive. It is amazing how Preston transformed this story about medication and science into a nightmare.
