Are Children Affected by Video Games?
In the United States, many manufactures are exposing young children to violent toys such as toy guns, and rated R Nintendo games. Manufactures should be more aware of the negative affect ts that these toys and games have on children’s future, such as, drugs violent behaviors, obscene language, and stealing. When parents take their children to shopping centers to buy them toys, children would eventually see toy hand guns and would probably want one, instead of a remote control car or action figure doll. The toy guns that are sold in shopping centers look real and give children directions on the proper way to use them. If manufactures are constantly making these toys, children may become obsessed with them. It is very important that parent’s don’t put their children lives in the hands of these manufactures. When children become obsessed with these toys they may display violent behaviors, such as fighting. Many manufactures that make Nintendo games are placing a lot of uncut scenes that shouldn’t be exposed to young children, such as drugs, cursing, guns, stealing, and sex. When children are playing these Nintendo games, they can choose activities, like bank robbery. On the bank robbery scene a player would have to try and rob a bank. The manufactures make these games look so real that they even have policemen’s running after the robber, and if the robber is caught, it shows a scene with the person in jail.
