Love Love is sometimes misunderstood as a fluttery feeling that one gets when around a person that they like. And without much thought people say “I Love You”, without knowing what these words really mean. Love isn’t just an emotion, it a feeling that puts others first, no matter what. Love can be defined by a mother who holds her newborn baby for the first time. A wave of love for that child comes over the mother, from that second forward. One doesn’t look forward to waking up at 3:00 a.m. to feed and change the baby, but these chores need to be done for that baby to be healthy, and this chore eventually becomes a part of everyday life, and no longer a chore. Every decision a mother makes is based on the love for that child. For example, if one sees her child in the middle of the road, and a car is approaching, maternal instincts kick in, and she will run to save her child without thinking of the consequences or what could happen to either one of them, all to ensure the safety of the child. A mother will always put her life on the line, to save the life of her child, because of love. In order for love to be pure, no doubts can be thought of. One must be willing to walk in the other person’s shoes, and put them first without reward. One must be willing to go out of ones way to make sure that person feels fulfilled, even if it means going out of the way to do this. This includes helping family and friends with moral support, etc. One will always be rewarded...
