English 102 We have all read the passage in the Bible, God created the world. He also created life. First he created Adam and then he created Eve. They were created equal. In our society today, different social backgrounds, race, culture, education, religion, and other influences, has caused society to label people in different classifications. If you were uneducated and did not earn a high income you were considered as being lower class. If you parents did not receive a college education but was able to obtain employment at a descent salary you were called middle class. But if your parents came from a wealthy family and had the opportunity to succeed in life and go places with their life they were considered the upper class. When I was young, my mother always said as long as you tried and did the best you can in life, that I should always be proud of who I was and what I was able accomplish in life. Then on one Sunday morning, while I was at church, which coincidently was located directly behind my house, I heard a group of people talking about me because I attended church by myself, without my parents. I then started to notice that I was treated differently than other teens my age. I never was chosen to sing a choir solo, during spaghetti dinner socials, I was the one always in the kitchen doing the dishes, instead of out front with the rest of kids. I never was chosen to light the alter candles or help with the collection plate. I started to wonder...
