America is known for being the land of the free; people come to America for opportunities they don’t have in their country. They believe America has better education, job opportunities, and freedom. Immigration has been going on for years, either immigrants come to America illegally or legal. Americans disagree with immigration because they see immigrants as a threat to them and America it’s self. With the law, anyone born in America is considered a U.S. citizen, complicate attempts to solve immigration. Immigration is one of the major controversial issues in the United States.
Americans see immigrants as a threat because they come to America and take away jobs opportunities from them. Americans are also afraid of some immigrants, believing they might be a terrorist or dangerous. Immigrants also come to America to start their own businesses; Americas are worried that they will start to control the economy. Immigrants come to America and work for low wages. Employees pay them less and they aren’t offered benefits. Being that employers are saving money by hiring illegal immigrants, there aren’t any jobs for Americans or legal immigrants. If immigrants wouldn’t work in these conditions employers would hire legal immigrants and Americans. Employers should have consequences for hire illegal immigrants. John R.
