Management and Leadership Environments
Not all manager and leaders follow the same environment guidelines in an organization. There should be management guidelines placed in organizations to ensure quality and productivity of that organization. It also benefits individuals working within that organization, and will make it operate more efficiently. What makes a good manager and leader? Jim Brown, the office manager at my company, explains what he feels makes an efficient manager and leader, “In my opinion, a good manager is someone who can deal with employees in a professional yet friendly manner. I don’t believe that a hostile work environment leads to productivity, so I try to keep our office as efficient as possible, while still keeping the environment open and friendly. I believe that a manger should be approachable but still have employees know that I am their authority figure. My employees at this company know that they can come to me with an issue and I will do my best to resolve it in the fairest manner. I would best describe our company as having balanced and integrated managers. It works with our company and in return we have very little turn-over rates as well has employees that like to come to work and do the best for this company.
