What is an Interview?
An interview is a face- to- face meeting, especially for the purpose of obtaining a statement for assessing the qualities of a candidate. A personal interview is generally the final stage in the Post Graduate Programs selection process. Interviews are aimed at evaluating your academic knowledge, awareness of current topics, communication skills, the clarity of thought and expression, poise and sense of balance, and ability to extricate yourself from tricky situations. Preparing for an Interview One of the most fundamental factors that contribute to the success of an interview is the time and quality of preparation made by you. The degree of preparedness for an interview helps reduce the uncertainty and anxiety prior to the interview. The amount of effort you wish to put into preparation is directly proportional to the importance of interview. Pre-planning for the Interview Prior to the interview, thorough preplanning should be carried out to bolster your confidence and gear you for the anticipated grilling.
