Single Family Issues
As the years have progressed since attention has been given to the effect of being raised in a single parent household, there are more and more correlations to how children perform academically and socially as opposed to those that have both parents present. In a family set up, both the mother and father figure have distinctive roles to play to ensure that a child grows up to be a capable and well rounded person. Family and childcare issues may seem to be minor obstacles these days when you look at what all is going on in our society today, yet they may in fact be the biggest determining factors as to how well our children will perform in life. It is important to note that, it is through the process of socialization especially at earlier stages of the child's development that will determine what type of person they will become in terms of mastering interactive skills. Our society has seen a shift in the family structure with an increase in single parent families in the United States.
