The League of Nations (LON) was an international organization which was founded at the end of the First World War, in 1919. It was the first permanent international organization whose principal mission was to maintain world peace. During the year of 1920\'s a Russian civil war took place and what seemed to the League as a temporary problem turned worse during the year of 1921 millions of Russian civillians were escaping the war,a refugee is a person who flees for refuge or safety in a foreign country escaping political crisis or war. Another problem that the League of Nations had were Drugs for example addictive drugs like opium and cocaine, this problem grew during the 1900\'s and this became an international problem. The output of opium in China reached 39,000 tones and the use of opium quadrupled in the United States all together. Since both refugees and drugs affected world peace the League of Nations had aims to put a stop to it.
These four different organizations were set up by the League to have more control over both of the situations which were taking place: The Opium Advisory Committee; This committee was setup in the year of 1920 and it\'s job was to identify and eliminate the problem with addictive drugs, in 1920 the OAC found that the trade of opium and coca leaves was 10 times larger than medical needs.
