The Final Paper will illustrate how Family-Centered Program theories and concepts support the early childhood classroom and the child’s family.

The Family-Centered approach believes that family involvement matters for a young child’s cognitive and social development. The Final Paper should address the following question:

How do educators and parents encourage desired behaviors from pre-school-aged children in both the pre-school and the home setting?

Explain strategies for teaching these behaviors to children and strategies for teaching parents how to reinforce these behaviors at home.

You must use all five of the desired behaviors listed below:
1.Attachment
2.Self-help skills
3.Empowerment
4.Pro-social skills
5.Self-esteem

At a minimum, this paper must include four academic resources, in addition to the course text. In addition to the academic resources, you must also reference at least one community resource for the child\'s family. Remember to cite all references using APA style. The paper should be eight to ten pages in length, not including the title or reference pages.
