Agatha Christie uses ten different very distinct characters to represent how strangers stuckstrangers stuck together, handled unknown adversity, and dealt with learning about trust. Each character has internal problems and they all symbolize how everyone deals differently with the problems the face. Many parts, symbols, and actions have many different meanings, and the author allows you to visualize it as you see fit. The way the characters die symbolizes how each individual attitude, so to speak, meets its downfall. The fact that the killer, which is Mr. Wargrave, is amongst the ranks of the guests leads them to panic. See Wargrave has invited all these people for the reason that their “murders” were not touchable by the law. The Character differences show in how each one deals with their collective consciousness, and their internal driving force of what they see as right and wrong. The order in which they die I also very important for it starts with those more innocent or less harsh crimes. Such is the case of Marston who I killed first painlessly, because he was empty inside. He had no moral regret for what he did. This represents a part of the madman’s plan to go about hosting his death party. Most of the guests are unsuspecting of their danger and go on normally until they are killed, showing that what happens does not affect their lives; they just keep on moving.
